Good Solid Performer 2010-09-08 I bought one of these to replace a wired mouse so this was my first wireless mouse. The weight and balance of this mouse is really good, I find the feel of it is quite nice as well and it fits into your hand quite well. It did take me a little while to get used to the feel of it as it was different to my previous mouse. I have to say that the "BlueTrack" isn't as good as I expected but then I was trying to use it on a very rough surface and not something you would normally use. It does work on glass and quite a few fabric surfaces without a problem though. I like the fact that the USB adapter is so small, I leave it in the back of the computer all the time even when transporting it in a laptopback or rucksack. I have just had to replace the battery for the first time a few days ago having bought the mouse in about May time so you do get quite good lifetime. I think it would be made a lot better if the mouse were to auto-hibernate which they haven't included for some reason. If they had put this in I would probably have given it 5 stars but as they didn't I can't. Overall a very sturdy solid mouse suitable for general office or day to day use. It isn't the smallest thing in the world but it comfortably fits into the palm of your hand and has a nice shape, size and feel to it.
TOP-CLASS PIECE OF KIT 2010-09-04 This is an excellent device which is easy to use. It has simple and precise controls. It fits perfectly in the hand. It does exacty what is says on the box and it is excellent value for money
the paris hilton mouse 2010-09-02 Don't know if my mouse is faulty but i bought this as its supposed to works on any surface and at a distance. I watch alot of tv internet shows and stream through my hdtv. The mouse is still pretty awkward at distance and not much better than my standard hp wireless laser mouse, also it really dosnt work that well on many surfaces, does not work pn my carpet which may sound random but makes sense on lazy occasions(HP mouse does) . I have a gaming wired mouse for my desktop and don't need another mouse for that reason. So with poor quality at distances and not really working very well on all surfaces, its rendered useless for a consumer buying for these reasons. The only posotives i can give are at close distance on a smooth work surface it works just as well as any other mouse, and it does look stylish but these don't make up for its short comings and what its supposedly designer for!
I think I've been sent a duff one, but potentially good... 2010-08-28 Bought this mouse to go alongside my Microsoft 6000 blue tooth keyboard - which I have been happy with. I'll put my comments into bullet points, for ease of reading: Good 1. Nice 'quality feel' clicks on the left and right buttons. 2. Sexy glossy design. Looks nice. 3. Comes with it's own transceiver that cleverly stores itself into the mouse. 4. On/off switch useful for traveling when you want the mouse to be off in your bag. Bad 1. Glossy finish prone to finger prints 2. Does not match my Microsoft 6000 keyboard as well as would have liked (keyboard is mostly a matt black finish - mouse is all gloss black) 3. Not very ergonomic. I like a mouse which tapers towards the front. This thing is like a humped back bridge! 4. Ridiculous packaging. Lots of unnecessary plastic packaging in an attempt to try and add value to the the product. Very Bad 1. Nasty rattle on the scroll wheel. Wobbles from side to side and feels worn out. Not notched and you have to push it down quite hard to activate the click. 2. Would not sync with my netbook with built in bluetooth no matter what I tried (spent ages reading up on the internet how to do it). The driver CD was no good to me as no CD drive on my netbook. Nothing I tried would make this thing 'discoverable'. I sent the first one back and ordered another one from Amazon, in case the scroll wheel rattle was a defect. But the replacement was just the same. This is obviously a design flaw. This may not bother you, but it would me. Important: if you're looking for a quick sync with a laptop/pc/netbook with built in bluetooth, then you make want to avoid this item. Solution. Sent this mouse back and ordered and ordered this item instead: TeckNet 309BTL Bluetooth Wireless Laser Mouse For PC/Laptop, 1600dpi, Black for £12.99 This item was ideal. It synced immediately without any fuss or annoying passwords. It looks great and matches my matt black keyboard much better. Nice ergonomics - slopes towards the front and feels more comfortable under my hand. Scroll wheel is notched and feels nice and firm. And came in a nice humble cardboard box which went straight into recycling :-). Note: if you you don't have built in wi-fi then you will need a transceiver with this item and unfortunately it doesn't come with batteries. Hope this review was helpful to you.
Fantastic Mouse at a great price! 2010-08-28 My previous mouse was a Logitech Mx Revolution, it was great, and heavy too. I was going to the buy the New logitech Air, but i really wasnt a fan of it after playing with a friends mouse, and its just too expensive. This mouse has the wheel in the centre, and two buttons on each side of the mouse (for pressing forward and backwards in websites). The main two buttons feel solid yet require little effort to press, also they dont make that much noise compared to the revolution. The mouse isnt rechargeable, it requires one AA battery, yet even with the battery inside its still pretty light. There is a blue light on the under belly, however it doesnt create a nice blue ring as shown in all the photos by microsoft and on amazon. If you have windows 7 just plug and its installed in less than 10 seconds. I like it and recommend it :)
