Suprised 2010-08-28 I bought this as a 'spare' my router is now very old, however I gave it to my daughter ( not really very technical) she installed it & connected with no problems :) very impressed
Seems to work 2010-08-16 It seems to work. I haven't tried all the options yet (and maybe never will), but it seems to be doing its job. The signal doesn't seem to be very strong, that's probably why it's cheap. Works with Windows and Linux (Debian Lenny).
TRENDnet 2010-07-30 Not easy to set up. Had to get someone to do it for me. Also cut out and had to reset it. When it does work it is ok.
great product 2010-07-27 this product was delivered super fast and does everything it is suppose to I am very happy and will not hesitate in buying more products from this seller.
Cheap ... and ... cheap 2010-07-20 Cheap is the operative word. What is most noticeable is how slow it is - slow to establish an internet connection with the outside world, and even slower to acquire a network address after a computer is plugged in. Ridiculously slow when compared to the ancient thing it replaces (which seems instantaneous by comparison). Since installing it my firewall has been bombarded with new requests, so I guess it doesn't do much of a hardware firewall job (compared to the old router which let nothing untoward in or out) - the old router had filtering ON or OFF, this has a myriad of incomprehensible settings. Wireless range scarcely makes it through one floor to a room vertically above. Wasted a day of my life learning about router settings so that I could try and match it to the old one, but with only partial success. Wouldn't pay £20 for this let alone last year's price (£40 or something). Definitely not on my recommended list, and goes down as one of my purchasing mistakes. PS - Setup was generally OK, but watch out for at least one of the defaults (in particular I think PPPoE was the default but many use PPPoA). Also, I nearly sent it back because it just wouldn't connect, until by chance I tried it after the old one had been switched off for some hours - seems plugging in one after the other causes problems down the line.
